Arrangements before leaving to Israel

Almost year ago I found Sar-El project while planning my vacation in Israel. Somehow I ended up in web page which contained 25 ways to help Israel. Sar-El is very affordable way to live, spend time and meet new people in lovely, sunny Israel. I contacted finnish representant via e-mail and she asked me why I want to participate this project and where did I heard about it.

I told her that I lived in Nahariya for several months in 1999-2000 when my ex-husband was peacekeeper in Unifil-troops in Lebanon. Since that I always wanted to go back but never had the opportunity, time or money to do that. Recently this urge to again visit Israel became so powerful I had to scratch money from somewhere, abandon my kids and take nearly unpaid leave from work. During my last stay in Israel I did not made any contacts with local people and I felt so sorry for that. At that time I was so naive, sheltered and open to prejudice and bad comprehensions. What a shame. So I had to go back and make it right this time. I love Israel!

So I picked one program of Sar-El and arranged leave from work. Booked flights. Took travel insurance. Doctor's check-up. Filled piles of papers, all in three copies. 90 USD for participate Sar-El. Figured out where to leave my kids for three weeks and who would take care of my plants and post. I was ready to go!

Hello Sar-El friend,
What a blog you summited. I feel I have so much in common with you that we were there together. I have been on the medical base with Moaich. All the photo's brought back such great memories. I too have been on Bapzap the communication base. My last tour was on the medical base at Tel Hassomer. We had a guy from finland. What a great person he is. He was a grave digger. He had followed his grand father, father in the same church. We call him Motty as his name was hard to pronounce.
With G-d help I will return to Isarel in Feb. This will be my 7th tour. I have asked Pamela to send me north as I love the cold weather. I live in Fla. and the heat is unbearable.
I wanted to thank you for your report. It was great. I just wish I could have been there with you as you sound like a wonderful soul.
G-d bless you and your family. Good health and prosperity may our dear L-rd grant you.

Shalom
