I had to raise israeli flag this morning! Cant remember who's brilliant idea it was. I was so nervous in front of everyone. When I pull the flag up, soldier next to me said something in hebrew. For a second a stop and ask what did he say. Something in hebrew again and sign to keep raising the flag. I was really embarrassed. Flag did stop in the middle of the flagpole - did someone die? My face was completely red.

At work there was different girl giving us orders. We were confused about mixed orders. In my barrack sleeps two other women too. It was not clear where to keep our key. Keep it under rock next to door, or hidden somewhere else, or in someones pocket? One woman wanted to keep key in her own pocket, but I did not hang around with her all day, so I had to get used to it when I leave barrack in the morning, I could get back in only in the evening.
In meeting we had lecture about Israel's situation. And when we go to dinner there is also several disabled young men. They work in army too, everyone has to do their part serving this country. In this base is lots of troubled young people. Many of them are from poor families, cant speak english, difficulties in life. In daytime they work in army and in evening they go home or work to earn money. Some of them would propably be in jail if not here.
